Tim Shi

I'm Tim Shi. I co-founded Recursive Superintelligence, where we're working to automate knowledge discovery. Before that, I co-founded and was CTO of Cresta. Starting in 2018, we deployed production LLMs to Fortune 500 enterprises — helping agents become experts on day one — and later built Ocean-1, an early contact-center foundation model. Cresta has since grown to ~600 people and $100M+ in revenue.

Earlier, I was at OpenAI in its early days, where I worked with Andrej Karpathy and John Schulman and built World of Bits.
